I was encouraged by Betty to try Life Counseling. This consisted of four one-hour sessions over a month. I laughed, I cried. I had the typical response to a really great story. The interesting thing about it all was that the story was my own.
With Betty’s help, I explored fragments of my childhood that had left me ironically in fragments as an adult. She posed questions that triggered responses that dealt directly with life-altering moments in my past. Her dialogues with me were easy-going in nature, sprinkled with humor, and at the same time piercing. In talking with her, I gave voice to memories that had never had the chance to speak before in my consciousness. Because of Betty, my subconscious finally had a stage.
I’m 27, and all my adult life I’ve felt divorced from my childhood. I have never been able to deal with past traumas because no one was ever there to understand. Although Betty and I have never met in person, she was able to tap into aspects of my psyche that were deeply affected by events in my life and bring them to light. In the process, I became whole and started to put together the pieces that explained why I am the way I am today and how I have held myself back from my full potential.

I found Betty’s website by accident, but maybe not as I was drawn to call her. What a wonderful day to have found someone so unique, talented, compassionate and caring. Many months later we are still talking. I think it is fair to say she saved my life which I felt was over.
I was not suicidal but depressed and in deep despair. I didn’t really want to go on. I just wanted God to reach out and take me. I had just gone through a very difficult time with my wife of 30 years who had passed away on Christmas a year ago. She had been sick with COPD for a couple of years and ultimately got lung cancer.
All I could do is remember the last two days of her life which I constantly reviewed in my mind. It was like a tape that was stuck on rewind. Tears, sadness, loneliness, isolation and emptiness had become a daily way of life for me. Through Betty’s caring help and thoughtful insights, I was helped to remember the 30 years that my wife and I had together, not just two days.
Betty also reminded me that I had more to offer my children as well as others and that it wasn’t time for me to go. She helped me to express feelings that I had not shared with anyone and by doing so helped me to see a different perspective.
There are not enough words, at least for me, to describe Betty or her approaches other than miraculous and a gift from God. I would highly recommend anyone who has any kind of issue to speak with Betty at least once to experience her gifts of insight.
